Customers Invest in Convincing Digital Print Portfolio from Heidelberg

Since drupa 2012, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) has been presenting its entire digital print portfolio under the name Linoprint – and as a result is impressing customers.

For example, Rautenberg Druck GmbH in Leer, north Germany, has invested in a Linoprint C901, while drucken123 Müller from Aschaffenburg has opted for the smaller Linoprint C751. The possibility of combining the Linoprint machines with offset solutions is playing an increasingly important role in purchasing decisions.

Growing with digital print applications

Printoo is the online print shop and wholly-owned subsidiary of long-standing Rautenberg Druck GmbH. Having been in existence for over 175 years, the company is in the process of growing its portfolio by expanding its online services. The Linoprint C digital print solution from Heidelberg will enable Rautenberg Druck to expand its short color run business in combination with a Speedmaster SM 52 4+L. The new Linoprint C901 solution can be integrated into the Prinect print shop workflow via the Prinect Digital Print Manager, thus enabling Rautenberg Druck to respond even more flexibly to the various requirements of its customers and to further enhance the efficiency of its processes.

“Our web-to-print portfolio is an important growth area for our company that we are looking to further strengthen with a digital print solution for short and variable runs. The Linoprint C from Heidelberg can be integrated into our complete workflow and is exactly the right machine for the job,” says Gerd-Werner Schulz, Managing Director of Rautenberg Druck GmbH.

Generating new sales with hybrid print products

drucken123 Müller in Aschaffenburg is also on a growth trajectory. The company is committed to hybrid print production with a new Linoprint C751 in conjunction with an existing Speedmaster SX 52-5+L Anicolor.

“We attach great importance to having one contact for all our production areas, which meant that Heidelberg was the first choice when it came to choosing a digital print solution. We were particularly impressed with the Heidelberg digital competence center, which acts as the central point of contact for all technical and application-specific queries,” says Markus Müller, Managing Director of drucken123 Müller.

Incoming orders in the digital printing sector have so far surpassed the company’s expectations. Customers were impressed with the presentations of the Linoprint L digital packaging printing portfolio from Heidelberg. Europe accounts for the majority of sales, followed by Asia.

“Our new Linoprint products, which offer users significant added value in terms of integration into the offset workflow, met with a very positive response from trade show visitors. The offset and digital printing solutions from Heidelberg go hand in hand and allow users to choose the most cost-effective output medium for print production,” says Dr. Christian Compera, Head of Digital Printing at Heidelberg.
